Lawn Mower Will Not Start

• Battery not charged: Fully charge the WORX battery pack using the approved charger before operating the mower.
• Battery not seated correctly: Remove and reinstall the battery until it locks firmly into the battery compartment.
• Safety key not installed: Insert the safety key or start key according to the model-specific manual.
• Start sequence incorrect: Follow the correct start procedure, usually involving the safety button and bail handle or start lever.
• Handle not locked: Confirm the handle is unfolded, locked, and positioned correctly for safe operation.

Mower Starts then Stops

• Battery low: Recharge the battery or replace it with a fully charged compatible WORX Power Share™ battery.
• Grass too tall or thick: Raise the cutting height and mow slowly to reduce load on the motor.
• Blade blocked: Remove the battery and safety key, then clear grass, twigs, or debris from the blade area.
• Motor overload protection active: Let the mower cool, reduce cutting load, and restart only after the obstruction is removed.
• Battery overheated: Allow the battery to cool before charging or using it again.

Mower Does Not Cut Grass Properly

• Blade is dull: Sharpen or replace the blade if grass tips look torn, ragged, or brown after mowing.
• Blade installed incorrectly: Confirm the cutting edge faces the correct direction and the blade bolt is securely tightened.
• Cutting height too low: Raise the deck when mowing tall, thick, wet, or uneven grass.
• Grass is too wet: Wait until the lawn dries to reduce clumping, deck buildup, and uneven cutting.
• Deck clogged: Remove the battery and safety key, then clean packed grass from the underside of the mower deck.

Battery and Charging Problems

• Battery will not charge: Check the charger, wall outlet, battery contacts, and battery temperature before trying again.
• Short runtime: Fully charge the battery, clean the mower deck, sharpen the blade, and raise the cutting height to reduce motor load.
• Charger light flashing: Follow the charger indicator guide in the manual to identify charging, temperature delay, or battery fault status.
• Battery becomes hot: Stop mowing, remove the battery, and let it cool before charging or continuing work.
• Wrong battery combination: On dual-battery models, use batteries with compatible voltage and similar charge levels.

WORX Power Share™ and Nitro™ Mower Problems

• Power feels weak: Check battery charge, blade sharpness, cutting height, and deck buildup before assuming the motor is faulty.
• Runtime is shorter than expected: Heavy grass, low cutting height, wet conditions, dull blades, and old batteries can reduce runtime.
• Mower vibrates: Stop immediately and inspect the blade for bending, imbalance, damage, or loose mounting hardware.
• Height adjustment difficult: Clean grass and debris around the height adjustment lever and wheel brackets.
• Bagging performance weak: Clean the deck, check the grass bag, raise the cut height, and mow at a slower pace.

WORX Landroid® Robotic Mower Problems

• Landroid® will not leave the charging base: Confirm the battery is charged, the schedule is active, and no error message is displayed.
• Boundary wire error: Check the perimeter wire, wire connections, charging base terminals, and any damaged or broken sections.
• Robot cannot find base: Make sure the boundary wire is installed correctly and that the charging base is positioned on level ground.
• Robot gets stuck: Clear holes, steep edges, loose objects, thick grass, roots, toys, and narrow passages that trap the mower.
• Blade disc blocked: Turn off the mower, remove the battery where applicable, and clear grass or debris from the blade disc area.

Landroid® App and Wi-Fi Problems

• Cannot connect to Wi-Fi: Confirm the router signal reaches the charging base area and follow the app pairing steps for your model.
• Mower appears offline: Check router power, Wi-Fi coverage, mower battery level, and whether the mower is powered on.
• Schedule not running: Check the mowing schedule, rain delay setting, battery charge, and any active error message.
• Map or zone settings not working: Review boundary setup, app settings, multi-zone configuration, and firmware status.
• Firmware update interrupted: Keep the mower charged and connected, then restart the update according to the app instructions.

Blade, Noise and Vibration Problems

• Excessive vibration: Stop the mower and inspect the blade for bending, cracks, imbalance, or loose hardware.
• Rattling noise: Check the mower deck, wheels, handle fasteners, grass bag frame, blade area, and battery cover for loose parts.
• Scraping sound: Inspect the blade, blade disc, deck, wheel area, and height adjustment mechanism for debris or contact.
• Blade bolt loose: Tighten blade hardware according to the torque and safety instructions in the model-specific manual.
• Robotic mower blades worn: Replace Landroid® cutting blades regularly to maintain clean cuts and reduce motor load.

Bagging, Mulching and Discharge Problems

• Grass bag not filling: Clean the deck, sharpen the blade, check bag airflow, and avoid mowing wet grass.
• Mulching is poor: Cut less grass at one time and mow more frequently for better mulching results.
• Side discharge clogs: Raise the cutting height, reduce walking speed, and clean the discharge opening.
• Clippings clump: Mow dry grass, clean the underside of the deck, and avoid cutting more than one-third of the grass height.
• Uneven cutting pattern: Check blade condition, wheel height settings, deck cleanliness, and mowing speed.

Routine Maintenance Tips

• Remove battery before service: Always remove the battery pack and safety key before cleaning, blade service, or deck inspection.
• Clean the mower deck: Brush away grass buildup from the underside of the deck after use.
• Inspect the blade: Check blade sharpness, balance, and mounting hardware regularly during mowing season.
• Care for batteries: Store batteries in a cool, dry location and charge them according to the manual before long-term storage.
• Prepare for storage: Clean the mower, remove batteries, inspect blades, fold the handle if applicable, and store the unit in a dry location.

Safety note: Always remove the battery pack and safety key before cleaning the deck, replacing blades, clearing blockages, adjusting the mower, or performing maintenance. Keep hands and feet away from the blade area and wait for all moving parts to stop completely.
